Sravana Bhargavi Biography

Sravana Bhargavi is a south Indian female playback singer. She is also a radio jockey and voice artist, who dubbed for the movies - Love Failure and Gabbar Singh. She is married to noted playback singer and reality show Sa re ga ma pa 2005 finalist – Hemachandra. The couple together hosts the show, Bol Baby Bol for Gemini television. She has also performed in Super singer for MAA TV. She is one among those promising young singers who made a mark in the playback singing field within a short span of three or four years.

 

She was born in 1989 in Telangana. Her father is a sub-inspector with Hyderabad police department. She schooled at NASR school, Hyderabad. She completed B. Tech degree from Vignan Institute of Technology and Science, Hyderabad and currently she is pursuing MBA. She is married to noted playback singer Vedala Hemachandra. They got married on the Valentine’s Day of 2013. By the age of 21 she became a singing sensation in Andhra Pradesh. Mahi Re from Ride, Aaley Baley and remix number Basthi Dorasani from Teen Maar and Simham anti chinnode vetakocchade from Simha are her most popular Telugu songs. There is a rumour that Bhargavi has written a song for Badrinath and crooned two numbers, though she denied it. She has recorded more than 100 songs till now.

 

She dubbed for Shruti Haasan in Gabbar Singh and Amala Paul for Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi. As a playback singer, she has worked with almost all leading music directors of south Indian film industry including M. M. Keeravani, Yuvan Shankar Raja, Thaman, Mickey J. Meyer, Chakri, Raghava Lawrence and Mani Sharma.
