Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry Biography 
Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry is an Indian poet and lyricist related to Telugu language. His iconic writer is a prominent figure, associated with Telugu cinema. He is associated with Telugu film industry since 1984 and has penned some of the nostalgic and iconic songs till now. A veteran and legendary lyricist, he has received a total of eleven state Nandi Awards and four Filmfare Awards -South in the past three decades or so, thus making his name one of the prominence lyricists of Telugu film industry ever. For his overall contributions towards the field of Indian art and culture, government of India honoured him with Padma Shri in 2019.
His lyrics are known to have extreme optimistic value, and he even tried to add humour element to quite a few. He earned the prestigious Nandi award for best lyricist for the first time in 1986 for the song, "Vidhatha Thalapuna" from the movie, Sirivennela. Since then Sirivennela tag got added to his name. He also completed the hat-trick by winning awards for Shrutilayalu (1987) – "Telavaarademo Swami" and Swarnakamalam (1988) – "Andela Ravamidi Padamuladaa". He later won for the songs - Gaayam (1993) – "Surajyamavaleeni Swarajyamendukani", Shubha Lagnam (1994) – "Chilaka Ee Thoodu Leeka",Sreekaram (1996) – "Manasu Kaastha Kalatha Padithe",Sindhooram (1997) – "Ardha Sathabdapu Agnananne", Prema Katha (1999) – "Devudu Karunistaadani", Chakram (2005) – "Jagamanta Kutumbam Naadi", Gamyam (2008) – "Enta Varaku Endu Koraku" and Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu (2013) - "Mari Anthagaa". Apart from award winning songs, he owns numerous evergreen songs to his credit.
His birth name is Chembolu Seetharama Sastry. He hails from Hyderabad. He was given the first break by K. Viswanath. Janani Janmabhoomi (1984) marked his film debut as a lyricist. Songs of the movie Sirivennela gave him a major breakthrough and Sirivennela tag got added to his name. The songs are regarded as landmarks in Telugu film music. It was followed by films such as Swayam Krushi, Swarna Kamalam, Samsaram Oka Chadarangam, Shrutilayalu, Pelli Chesi Choodu etc. He received next big break through the songs of Rudraveena. The lyrics of the song "Tarali raada” is said to have inspired many people.
