Simran Sehgal Biography 
Simran Sehgal is a celebrity singer who shot to fame singing cover versions of several Bollywood hits. She rose to flame after being associated by the popular band, Sanam to sing the cover version of Kishore Kumar-Asha Bhosle duet, Yeh Raatein Yeh Mausam Nadi Ka Kinara. The song registered millions of hits within months of release, and Simran turned a star. She hails from Punjab and has already marked her debut in Malayalam films as a playback singer. She sang the title track of Malayalam film, Sambar in 2016.
She is nicknamed Simmi. Of Punjabi origin, she hails from Pune and was born on an Independence Day. She was born into a Sikh family. Her father is a singer, and Simran was initiated to the world of music at the age of 6. Her father is her guru. Though she was not serious during younger days, slowly she developed interest in singing. She dreams to become a successful playback singer and language is not at all a barrier.
Before she debut as a playback singer as Malayalam in 2016, she shifted to Thrissur, Kerala. She stayed for one and a half years, and has also done stage shows at Kochi. She has also been a member of a band, Paattukada, after she shifted to Kerala. The band consisted of 4 members, and she also learnt Malayalam and Malayalam film songs a little bit. Her association with the band helped her to bag her first Malayalam film song. Her voice was used for three songs - The Sambar Song, Poomkathirukal and its Reprise version.
Many of her cover versions of Hindi classics are indeed popular in you tube - Rhim Jhim Gire Sawan, Tere Bina Zindagi Se, Sun Saathiya and many more. But among her all songs, Yeh Raatein Yeh Mausam for Sanam band made her a star.
