Shyamala (TV Anchor) Biography

Shyamala is a noted TV Anchor and television artist from Kakinada, East Godavari. She is successful as a successful television actress too. She started her career at age of 17 through a talent hunt show held at   Rajamundry, which gave her a chance on television. She is active in the television scene for more than 5 years and has appeared in a couple of Telugu movies - Loukyam and Oka Laila Kosam (2014) movies in decent roles. She married Narasimha at the age of 18 and they are happily married with one child.

This actress hails from Kakinada and she has done a few roles as a stage actress during her childhood. She lost her father at the age of one. Her participation in a Talent hunt held in Rajamundry proved to be the turning point of her career. Those videos were aired on television which helped her to attend TV auditions and become a successful television artist later. She is quite popular among TV audience as a traditional Telugu girl and she is also busy in hosting stage shows, audio launches and talk shows. She is one among those rare TV anchors who speaks pure Telugu without any accent.

She had no intentions to join film scene. However she joined Telugu film industry and acted in a couple of memorable film roles. She portrayed Rakul Preet Singh's elder sister in Loukyam and essayed the role of Naga Chaitanya's sister in Oka Laila Kosam. She has done a few television shows of the same production house which made Oka Laila Kosam. That’s how she bagged the movie, though she had no clue on acting. Both the films gave her a lot of visibility. Yet she never plans to quit TV shows to pursue a career in film industry.
