S. Akash Biography 
S. Akash is an Indian Flautist or Bansuri player from Karnataka. A child prodigy, he left an impression in this field at a very young age. He was born in 1998, and before he reached 20, he has earned a name of his own. He started his solo performances in 2005 at the age of only 8, and since then he has been active in the field of music. He was the winner of the Idea Jalsa National Talent Hunt, and till now he has performed in several cultural events and music festivals across the country.
S. Akash was born to M. N. Satish Kumar and Vani Satish. He belongs to a family of musicians and his musical talents were noticed by his parents at the age of three. At the age of four, he was put under the tutelage of Pandit Venkatesh Godhkindi, a renowned flautist. During early days, as he was a small kid, he was not able to follow music notations in writing. Instead he memorized them at a very young age, and grasped the notes easily exhibiting amazing talents. He pursued his studies in Bangalore, where he has been active with his music concerts. Apart from solo performances, he has collaborated with other artists too.
He received Child prodigal award at the age of 7, by T. N. Chaturvedi, the then Governor of Karnataka. He received M.S Subbulakshmi Fellowship at Sri Shanmukha Nanda Sabah in the year 2014 and 2016. Shanmukha Sangeetha Shiromani Award at Mumbai 2011 and Sur Jyostna National Award at Nagpur in 2016 are other major honours received by him at a young age. The litte flute master has already performed at various concerts across the country and performed in countries like Germany. He also plays piano, yet flute remains his first love.
