Roopal Tyagi Biography

Roopal Tyagi is a noted actress associated with Hindi television. She also works as a choreographer in the industry. Her protagonist role as Gunjan in the daily soap Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke on Zee TV was well received. The role gave her a nomination at  Indian Telly Awards for Fresh New Face in 2013. She has also participated as a contestant in celebrity reality shows such as Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa season 8 and Bigg Boss 9. Roopal started her career as a choreographer in 2007, and later moved to acting roles. She is a recipient of Zee Rishtey Award for Favorite Behen and Favorite Nayi Jodi for her most popular show, Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke, apart from multiple nominations.

Roopal Tyagi hails from Bangalore, Karnataka. She was born on 6 October 1989. Currently she resides in Mumbai. She marked her professional career as a choreographer in 2007. She choreographed the very popular classical dance song, Mere Dolna of Bhool Bhulayya. She choreographed Vidya Balan and Vineeth for this song which was such a huge hit. He marked her acting debut in 2008 through small screen. Hamari Betiyoon Ka Vivaah was her debut show, where she was seen as Mansha Kohli.

She continued with supporting roles such as Dill Mill Gayye, Ek Nayi Chhoti Si Zindagi etc and also did guest roles in TV soaps and reality shows. In 2012, she bagged her first lead role through the TV show, Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke as Gunjan Mayank Garg. The success of the show shot her to fame, and earned her many awards and nominations too. The show went off the air in 2015. She entered the dance reality show, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8 as a contestant in 2015. But she got eliminated.
