Romit Raj Biography

Romit Raj is a popular television actor who works in Hindi television serials. He is popular with the roles - Yuvraj Garodia of Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyann and Jeet Khurana of Maayka. Maat Pitaah Ke Charnon Mein Swarg, Humdum, Harr Dill Kuchh Kehtaa Hai, Hatim, Yatra, Adaalat and Thoda Hai Bas Thode Ki Zaroorat Hai are a few more noted appearances. Currently he plays the role of Varun Zaveri in Adalat. Though he has left the show in the middle he has returned back. He was earlier engaged to his co-actor Shilpa Shinde, who worked with him in the popular series Maayka. But later the marriage was called off. He is married to Tina raj and the couple has one daughter.

He was born on July 9, 1980. He shifted to Mumbai at the age of 10. But his studies were completed at Kolkata, West Bengal where he started his successful career as a model. He was actively associated with school and college plays since early days too. He also worked in Bengali television serials and plays while at Kolkata. He returned back to Mumbai in 2002 where he began his successful television career. His character roles - Yuvraj in Ghar ki Lakshmi Betiyaan and Jeet in Maayka earned him fans and appreciation. He once got injured in the sets of serial Yatra, during shooting.

In 2009 he got engaged to actor Shilpa Shinde, who played his wife’s role in the popular series Maayka. But later the relationship was broken. His most recent television series is Adaalat. He left the show in the middle and his character Varun was seen shot dead. But following his comeback to the show, his character came alive!
