Roll Rida Biography 
Roll Rida is an Indian singer and rapper from Telangana. He is also known as a songwriter and actor in Telugu language. His rap song on Sankranthi titled Patang was an instant hit and went viral over net. It received over 17 million views within a few days of release. In 2018 he participated as a contestant in the celebrity reality show, Bigg Boss Telugu 2 and was exited from the show at 6th position. Apart from vocals, he is also a musician associated with keyboards, drums and sampler. He is active in the musical world since 2010.
His real name is Rahul Kumar Velpula. He was born on 26 Jan 1989 in Karimnagar district of present-day Telangana, previously a part of Andhra Pradesh. His schooling and IT engineering course were completed in Hyderabad. He is currently settled in Hyderabad Roll. Since school days he was associated with singing, and owned a music band while at school. Later he decided to pursue rap for his music journey, and succeeded too. After completing his engineering in IT, he worked in Google, Hyderabad and also as Quality Analyst at Tech Mahindra. Later he pursued music full time.
He released his first single, Patanga in 2013, and the song turned a huge chartbuster. Syed Kamran frequently pens songs for his singles. The Kirana Song, Dilkush, Kattif, Ivvalane, Shankar ka Beta, Saava Kottethadi, O Pilla and KTR Birthday song are some of his popular singles released later, and all these songs were penned by Syed Kamran. He is also associated with Telugu cinema as a playback singer, and his songs are included in the movies - Gopala Gopala, A Aa etc.
