Rishi Biography

Rishi is an Indian film and television actor who is appearing in television soaps. He became very popular after conducting the show Deala No Deala in Sun TV. He also hosts Kaiyil Oru Kodi in Sun TV.

Rishi was born and brought up in Chennai in Tamil Nadu. His original name is Rishi Raj. He was born to Malayali and Gujarati parents. His father is a musician and his mother is a poet. He pursued engineering degree but left it in the middle and started to work as assistant director in advertisements. He entered media industry in 2004 and started direction at his age of 19.

His style of anchoring has made him very famous not only in India but also among the Tamil speaking communities living abroad. He performed in the English play Raj and His Lovers and received huge welcome. He serves as the director of the production house, Madras Lights that produced the play. His portrayal of the Pandya King Varaguna Pandian in Vaadavooran was critically acclaimed.

Some of the films that he has acted include Thodakkam, Ananda Thandavam, Mandhira Punnagai, Gaganam, Payanam, Mirattal, Parithi, Iruvar Ullam, etc. Some of the television programs he has taken part include Idhu Oru Kadhal Kathai, Sundarakanda, Padamatha Gali, Deal A No Deal Aa, Kayil Oru Kodi Are You Ready?, etc.
