Rekha Ratheesh Biography

Rekha Ratheesh is a popular actress associated with Malayalam television. She is best known for playing the character Padmavathy in the popular Malayalam series, Parasparam – a remake of Hindi TV soap, Diya Aur Baathi Hum. The show is directed by Sudheesh Shankar. Rekha has also participated in the Kairali TV’s celebrity reality show 'Nakshatra Deepangal'. She started her television journey at the age of 16, she has faced a lot of hardships in her real life, which is nothing short of a film story. Rekha has married four times. She is now married to Abhilash and the couple has one son.

Rekha hails from capital city of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram. Both her parents Ratheesh and Radha Devi were artists. She started her television journey at a young age of 16 through the show – Nirakootukalam. Manasu was one of her early shows through which she got noticed. She got married at a very young age of 18 to Yousaf. But the marriage didn’t last too long. Her second marriage was with Nirmal Prakash. But he passed away in 2010. Her third marriage was with Kamal Roy which too didn’t last long. She later came close to Abhilash, who is into the media world behind the screen. He was married to a dancer and had two children. Later Abhilash and Rekha had a live in relationship and had one son, ayaan. Though Abhilash’s wife tried her best to get him back, Rekha was not willing to break her newly found relationship, and she won.

After a break from television, she returned with the show – Parasparam, which earned her Asianet award for best serial actress at 2014 Asianet Television Awards. She became extremely popular through the role of Pathmavathy of Padippura house through this series. She has appeared as a child actress at the age of three for one Tamil film, where she played young Revathi. She has also made apeparances in the popular TV shows, Badai Bungalow, Aswamedham, Star candid etc.
