Rekha Krishnappa Biography

Rekha Krishnappa is a noted television actress belonging to south Indian languages. She appears in Malayalam, Kannada and Tamil language TV soaps. She came to limelight for the first time when she became a part of the daily soap, Deivamagal which is aired on Sun TV. She played a negative role in the series, which earned her recognition. She was also acted in the Vijay TV’s Neeli serial in the supporting role of Neeli. Radha Kalyana, MayaMohini, and Krishna Rukmani are other noted appearances. Currently, she is a part of TV soap “Nandhini“, aired on SUN TV. Rekha Krishnappa mostly plays character and supporting roles on small screen. She has also appeared in a few movies, of which her supporting role in Manikya was well noticed.

Rekha Krishnappa hails from Bangalore, Karnataka. She was born on 4 September 1985. She completed her schooling at MES High School, Jaya Nagar, Bangalore and later pursued her higher studies from the same city. She holds a Master’s degree in BHS First Grade College, Bangalore. She is married to Vasanth Kumar, and currently settled in the city. Apart from acting, photography remains her favourite hobby.

She made her acting debut with popular Malayalam TV drama “Parijatham” in 2009. The show was aired on Asianet TV. She had later acted in some films in a supporting role, and got noticed for her role in Maanikya. Her performance was much appreciated by audience and movie critics. Though she appeared in a few south Indian films, she preferred to stay active in television roles. Her negative role in Tamil series, Deivamagal is one among her best works.
