Raza Ali Khan Biography 
Raza Ali Khan is a musician and vocalist belonging to Kasur Patiala Gharana. He is the grandson of the great Bade Ghulam Ali Khan, and the son of Hindustani classical vocalist Munawar Ali Khan. He has composed Ghazals for Ghulam Ali and released as albums for various music companies. Noted film and television actress, Neelima Azeem is his second wife. Thus Bollywood actors – Shahid Kapoor and Ishaan Khattar (from two marriages of Neelima) are his step sons.
Raza Ali Khan was born in Karachi, Pakistan into a musical family with strong musical influences. He is of Kolkata origin and was born on 8 August 1962. His paternal grandfather Bade Ghulam Ali Khan is a legendary name of Hindustani music, and his father Munawar Ali Khan too is a well-established name in music. Following family traditions, Ali Khan too carried forward the legacy, and he practices Kasur Patiala Gharana, carried forward from his ancestors.
Raza Ali Khan is married to Samina Khan, the granddaughter of Nawab Moinuddaulah Bahadur. When he married actress Neelima Azeem in 2004, he was not legally divorced. After their marriage, Azim and Raza started living at Nirman Cottage, Yari Road. In 2011 there were reports that the couple have parted, though both denied the rumours.
About his professional career, Khan performs Khayal, Thumri, Dadra, Ghazal, Geet, Sozkhani, Noha Khani, and Manqabat forms of classic music. He gave his first solo performance in 1977 at the Eden Garden Stadium, Kolkata. He served as the chief music director of Venus Music Company for four years. He composed music for one telefilm named Bindia for Doordarshan. Gharana Lineage, 3 Generations, A Tribute to Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan, Homage to Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan, Raagleela and Shadab are some of his released albums.
