Rashi Mal Biography

Rashi Mal is a television actress, best known for playing the grey shaded Gauri Lada in Channel V’s Paanch - Five Wrongs Makes a Right. She played the negative role of a Gang leader who is smart, beautiful and dominating and became popular through her performance. Lead role was played by Sheetal Singh of Nasha Fame. She was also seen in MTV Rush, Twist Wala Love, MTV Webbed, Love By Chance, Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya and Yeh Hai Aashiqui. She is currently seen in Gulmohar Grand aired on Channel V.

She holds an engineering degree and is a talented singer cum dancer. She also loves theatre and has been a part of it for 5 years. This talented young actress started her television career with Bejoy Nambiar’s MTV Rush, where she appeared in one of its stories. Paanch was her first major break. Before that she has been a choreographer and has done numerous dance numbers at Ashley Lobo's dance academy. She moved out of it as she felt that acting is her real choice. Apart from it, she has also appeared in television ads of Nokia and Lays and has also been a judge in "Blossom Short Film Festival" initiated by "Wiz Studio." Paanch gave her enough exposure and boosted her career as well.

Actress chooses her roles intentionally though not necessarily to shed the Gauri image. But very often she gets calls with offers similar to Gauri. But she doesn’t want to typecast herself and wants to experiment with new experiences and roles. That’s why she always chooses her roles carefully and all the four roles she played till now are close to her heart. She also wants to exhibit her talents as a singer and a dance in any show in future. She prefers mini screen roles in shorter formats most.
