Rajat Tokas Biography

Rajat Tokas is a popular television actor known for playing lead roles in Hindi historic serials. Started off with teenager roles, he played the male protagonists in Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan and Jodha Akbar. He portrayed young Prithviraj Chauhan in the show Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan during 2006-2007 while he essayed the role of Emperor Akbar in Jodha Akbar (2013-2015). He also played the title role of Veer in Dharam Veer in 2008. He was last time seen in a supporting role in Naagin in 2015, where he essayed the role of Kabir/Nevla. He played a grey shaded (parallel lead) role in Tere Liye, quite different from the other roles he played onscreen.


Rajat Tokas is a native of Munirka, Delhi. He studied at Hope Hall Foundation School, R. K. Puram. He entered television scene in 2005 as a teenager. Bongo as Ashu marked his television debut, followed by Tantya in Sai Baba. But he gained appreciation for the first time, playing the role of young Prithviraj Chauhan for the historic series, Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan in 2006. Following the sucecs of the show, he started receiving similar roles like young Veer in Dharam Veer and young Madhav Shastri in Keshav Pandit.


Later he was seen in the episodic shows like Bandini and Fear Files: Darr Ki Sacchi Tasvirein. In 2013, he bagged the lead role of Emperor Akbar for the show - Jodha Akbar. He was paired with the actress Paridhi Sharma and the show was a great success. He got this powerful role quite at his young age, which he never dreamt of. The actor is actually not too interested in daily soaps and he too achieved success through mythological and historical series. He is married to Shrishti Nayyar, a theatre actor since 2015.
