Rahul Pandey Biography

Rahul Pandey is a successful lyricist and playback singer associated with Bollywood at present. Marked his debut with Haseena Tu kameena Mein song from Saif Ali Khan movie Happy Ending in 2014, he has sung a few chartbuster hits of Bollywood in the recent times. Feel The Rhythm & Show Me Your Moves from Munna Michael, Jab We Met for Hero and Kuchh Toh Ho Raha Hai from Tera Mera Tedha Medha are among his popular songs as a playback singer. Hey Akhil from the movie Akhil – The Power Of Jua also belongs to him. He is also associated with a couple of non-filmy songs - The Deewana Remix and Aa Chalein.

 

Rahul hails from Kolkata, West Bengal. But he didn’t come from a musical family. He completed his school and college education from Kolkata itself before he moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in Bollywood. He holds an MBA degree in Marketing. In fact he worked in private sector as a business professional for a while, before he made up his mind to pursue his passion in music. This happened in the year 2012.

 

He got his first break in the year 2014 through the film, Happy Ending. His first song - Haseena Tu Kameena Mein was picturised on Saif Ali Khan and got noticed. His first break was offered by Sachin-Jigar. His second song, Jab We Met from the film Hero was an instant hit. His second song was also offered by Sachin-Jigar. The song was quite challenging and moves from rock to pop to flamenco to a jazzy beat, and later welcomed by music fans. ‘Jab we met' was his first duet as the only male vocalist. Since then he is regularly associated with Bollywood. He sang aside Benny Dayal and Anushka Manchanda for 'Lucky tu lucky me' from Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, his recent chartbuster song.
