Rachitha Mahalakshmi Biography

Rachitha Mahalakshmi is a popular television actress associated with south Indian TV shows. She appears in Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada TV shows. She played the lead role in Saravanan Meenatchi Season 2 as well as 3, and is best known for these TV shows. Her characters are Thanga Meenakshi and Madhurai Meenakshi respectively. In a career nearly to one decade, she has portrayed over a dozen of memorable characters on screen. She is most popular with her Tamil shows and also owns a fan audience.

Rachitha also appeared in a couple of films. She played lead role in Uppu Karuvaadu, 2015 Tamil-language comedy-drama film directed by Radha Mohan. The film received positive reviews from critics but was declared as a box office failure. She was also a part of Kannada film, Parijatha. As a film career she couldn’t succeed and hence she concentrated on to her television career.

Rachitha Mahalakshmi was born on 24 April 1990 in Bangalore, Karnataka. Rachitha is fluent in Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and English languages, which helps her to work in all south Indian language TV shows. She is married to Dinesh Gopalasamy, he co-star from Pirivom Santhipom. As a television actress her first break was Kannada show, Mega Mandaran in 2013. Same year she appeared in half a dozen of TV shows, this rising to fame in a short period.

Her name got included in the list of top south Indian Tv actresses, after she played the lead role in Saravanan Meenatchi, which aired in Star Vijay. She also appeared in the next series of the show, and her fans also call her Menatchi. When she was approached first for the show, she didn’t have dates. Even people discouraged her citing that the second season of the show won’t work. But destiny was something else, and the show proved to be the turning point of her professional career.
