Pravesh Mallick Biography 
Pravesh Mallick is a lyricist, music composer and playback singer associated with Bollywood who made his Bollywood debut with Prakash Jha's film Jai Gangaajal in 2016. He worked with its composer Salim-Sulaiman and sung a Maya Thagni song in his distinct style. He formed a band named Sanidhya and is currently performing Sufi, folk and Classical fusion on his own compositions. He released several popular albums such as Chaura Tora Bazzar Khastau, Geet Ghar Ghar Ke, Lehuaayal Aanchar, Khota Shingaar etc. He is of Nepali origin.
Pravesh Mallick was born in Janakpur Dham, Nepal into a family with music and poetry background. His father Kameshwar Mallick is a poet and singer. He has three elder brothers, one younger brother and two sisters – and all of them are associated with music, as either singer or musician. Pravesh inherited music from his family. His mother is also a singer who taught Pravesh the first lessons of music. Pravesh also received training from Pandit Laxmi Narayan Das, Pandit Shiv Lal and Pandit Ram Sevak Das. Pravesh also learnt to play various musical instruments and started his career as a music composer and arranger.
He, along with his brother Ramesh Mallick moved to Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, New Delhi where he received training in Hindustani music from some leading gurus of this field. He completed Master’s in Hindustani Music from Delhi University. After completing studies, he started his career as a music teacher at Noida. He also started a band - Sparsh and performed across India. In between he released a few popular albums too. Apart from Hindustani music, he got attracted to Sufi music as well. In 2016 he made his debut to Bollywood as a singer through Jai Gangaajal starring Priyanka Chopra.
