Parvathy Jayadevan Biography

Parvathy Jayadevan is an upcoming playback singer associated with Malayalam and Tamil film industry. This young talented artist was one of the top 5 finalists of Vijay TV's Airtel Super Singer 4 in 2013-2014 season. She was the winner of talent hunt show for kids, Super Star Junior 2 aired on Amrita TV channel on 2008–2009. Both her parents are Ayurvedic doctors. She is associated with playback singing since 2013, and has got opportunity to sing for A. R. Rahman for the song "Aye Kochu Kalla" from the movie, Pradhi Nayagan – a dubbed version of Tamil film - Kaaviya Thalaivan, starring Prithviraj.

 

Parvathy hails from Malappuram, Kerala. Both her parents - Jayadevan and Sindhulatha work as Ayurvedic doctors in Kerala. Parvathy exhibited her singing talents since an early age and she is a trained classical singer. She came to limelight for the first time when she won the singing talent hunt show for kids aired on Amrita Television - Super Star Junior Season 2. In 2013, she came to spotlight after she became a finalist of Vijay TV's Airtel Super Singer 4. She gave auditions for the show in Coimbatore. The other finalists were Sonia, Sarath, Dhivagar and Sayed. Through the show she gained enough attention from Tamil audience and film world. It also gave her opportunity to get singing offers from Tamil films.

 

She made her singing debut through the song "Kannadi Poopole .." for the Tamil movie Anba azhaga. "Chirakukal Njan" for Njan Steve Lopez was her first Malayalam song. She sang the duet alongside Siddharth Menon, a member of Malayalam’s popular band Thaikkudam Bridge. In 2015 she sang the song "Poththi vechcha" for the Tamil film, "Kodai Mazhai".
