Padmaja Phenany Joglekar Biography 
Padmaja Phenany Joglekar is a Hindustani Classical singer and a Padma Shri recipient in the field of Indian music. She received the honour in the year 2001. She is a disciple of legendary musician and vocalist Pandit Jasraj. Khayal, Thumri and Tappa are her renditions in Hindustani music and she also performs in Gazals, Geet, Bhajans etc. Hee Shubhra Phulanchi Jwala, Rang Bawara Shravan, Ghar Nachale Nachela, Geet Naya Gata Hoon, Zindagi ki Zuban, Mangaldeep etc are some of the albums released by her, and she recorded different genres of music for these musical albums. She has also collaborated with other artists for her musical performances, and is regular in her music concerts till now.
Padmaja Phenany Joglekar was born on 7 July 1962. Born into a musical family she was brought up in the tradition of Indian classical music, and was given musical tuitions since young. Renowned vocalist Pandit Jasraj was her first guru. She also learnt music under Pandit Ram Narayan Pandit Hridaynath Mangeshkar, younger brother of Mangeshkar sisters. Later she became regular with her music concerts and also released albums on Marathi poems, ghazals, Hindustani music, Marathi songs etc. In her album titled Geet Naya Gata Hoon, she sang poems written by Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
She has been live in her music concerts across the globe, and has performed in UK, United States, Canada, Singapore and UAE. Apart from Hindustani music and ghazals, she also performs devotional music on stage. "Mehefil -E -Gazal", "Tere Sur aur mere Geet, "Mangaldeep" and "BhaktiRang" are some of the music concerts dedicated to different forms of music. Her album titled “Mangaldeep” was composed by Anup Jalota.
