Nehalaxmi Iyer is a popular actress associated with Hindi soaps. She plays notable supporting roles on small screen. Surbhi in Sasural Simar Ka, Najma in Qubool Hai, Saumya in Ishqbaaaz, and its spin-off Dil Boley Oberoi are some of her notable roles till now. Ishqbaaaz and Dil Boley Oberoi are her most recent and memorable roles, and the show was telecasted during 2016-2017. Her character got replaced in both these shows. Yet her fans still love for her performance in both these shows. She started her television career as a child artist in the 1990s.

Iyer hails from Mumbai. She was born on 8 November 1991. She started her acting career as a child artist at the age of only six. She was seen in the TV series, Banegi Apni Baat aired on Zee TV, and she appeared in the last few episodes of the show from 1996 to 1997. After that she took a break from small screen to give full concentration to her studies. As an adult actress, she re-entered small screen in 2009 through the show, Na Aana Is Des Laado where she essayed the role of Gunja. Later she was seen in the shows, Krishnaben Khakhrawala, Mujhse Kuchh Kehti... Yeh Khamoshiyaan, Qubool Hai, Sasural Simar Ka, Ishqbaaaz and Dil Boley Oberoi.

She played one of the female lead roles in Star Plus show “Ishqbaaaz”. She is a recipient of Award of Excellence at ALL Ladies League in 2017, and has been nominated in Favourite Behan category at Zee Rishtey Awards. Not the typical slim and trim actress, she believes that it's only a myth that only thin women can survive in the industry. Nehalaxmi is unmarried and currently dating Tejas Nagvekar, a guy outside entertainment industry.
