Neha Sargam Biography

Neha Sargam is a noted television actress, best known for the role as Nivedita in the television soap, Chand Chupa Badal Mein. She is born in a musical family of many famous musicians. She is a trained Hindustani singer and has auditioned twice for Indian Idol, though was not able to get through. Currently she plays the role of Aditi in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?...Ek Baar Phir, aired on Star Plus. Confessions, Yeh Hai Aashiqui, Haar Jeet and Ramayan are other popular roles.

She was born and brought up in Patna, Bihar. Padmasri Pandit Siyaram Tewari, a great Dhrupad Maestro is her maternal grandfather. She took formal learning from her mother. Neha had participated in the auditions for Indian Idol 4. She couldn't make it to the second audition following an accident. Destiny was something else. Rajan Shahi happened to see footage of her auditions through youtube and he called her. She was a bit confused why she was called. She was offered the lead protagonist’s role of his upcoming serial, Chand Chupa Badal Mein. He also asked her to come to Mumbai and attend a screen test just for formality. She completed MBA from Patna, but came to Mumbai to start a career entirely different.

She played the role of a hesitant and an introvert girl in her debut serial, Chand chupa badal mein. She has no formal training or experience in acting. But she attended a workshop for one week before doing the serial. It was followed by Haar Jeet for NDTV Imagine. She stepped into acting only because of opportunity and she aspires to be a singer.
