Meera Anil Biography

Meera Anil is a noted television actress and successful TV anchor of Malayalam television. She is also a successful model. She is an engineer turned anchor and has debut silver screen with 2015 film, Mili, doing a supporting role. One of the star anchors of Malayalam television, she is best known for the show, Comedy Stars Season Two in Asianet TV Channel. She is also a trained dancer in Bharatanatyam, Mohiniyattam and Kathakali forms of classical dances. She has also hosted the recent Boby Chemmanur's marathon along with Renjini Haridas and also the Vishu Award Mega Night.

Meera hails from capital city, born on 28th of March 1990. She schooled from Christ Nagar School and completed civil engineering from Mar Baselious College of Engineering. The field of media fascinated her and she is currently doing journalism course. A versatile dancer, she received Kerala University Kalathilakam in 2009, which opened her doors to television and modelling. She even got an offer from a leading international IT firm. But she decided to stay in the entertainment industry. Though she has busy shooting schedules, she attends her classes in journalism.

She started her career in the media industry as a TV anchor. She was introduced to Unni R by one of her friends, Annapurna Lekha Pillai, a television presenter. She was later called for a screen test and got the opportunity to host the show named 'Sthree'. Later she successfully anchored TV shows like 'Top 3 Models' on Asianet and 'Hello Good Evening’ on Kairali WE Channel, which gained her popularity. Later she anchored over 160 episodes of the show - Comedy Stars, with Karan. In her opinion, Malayali audience prefers hosts dressed up in the traditional way with Jasmine flowers and saree. After refusing Lal Jose’s movies - Pullipulikalum Aattinkuttiyum and Ezhu Sundara Rathrikal, she made her film debut with Mili.
