Maria Juliana Biography

Maria Juliana a.k.a Julie is a social activist best known for her shouts and slogans in Marina beach during Jallikattu protest. Her videos went viral over social networking sites, and she gained attention within a short time. A Nurse by profession, she most recently participated in the reality show on Star Vijay, Bigg Boss Tamil – Season 1, hosted by legendary actor Kamal Hassan. The show also gained her popularity as Bigg Boss is the top rated show on Tamil television right now. Among the group of 15 contestants, she is the only non-celebrity contestant who took part in the show. Unfortunately she is out of the show right now.

 

Maria Juliana was born in 1992. A girl of 25, she is a nurse by profession. She has been inclined to acting and entertainment field since her childhood days. She has appeared in a couple of music videos before her entry to Bigg Boss house. But she lied in the show that she has never faced a camera before.

 

Marina Juliana gained huge public support after the Jallikattu incident and she was lauded by social media as well as youngsters. Her videos of protest went viral over the net. She also received the name, Veera Tamilachi. Some rumours even spread that she is dead.

 

She was warmly welcomed to the Bigg Boss show as an innocent girl by her fellow contestants. But very soon the ugly face was caught red handed. She was accused of tarnishing image of fellow contestants, fabricating truth and cooking wrong stories as well, to gain sympathy and support from others. She was also accused of disrupting the peace and harmony of Bigg Boss house. Though contestants like Bharani and Oviya supported her, she turned the table against both of them. She got eliminated from the show on August 7.
