Manoj Guinness Biography

Manoj Guinness is a standup comedian, mimicry artist and comedy actor associated with Malayalam entertainment industry. He is quite popular with his TV shows and has also appeared in several Malayalam movies in comic roles. He gained popularity through the comedy show Cinemala, aired on Asianet during 2005-2010. Currently he appears in various roles in the celebrity talk show, Badai Bunglow. He is associated with this very popular show since 2013, the show which earned him huge fame and cemented his position as a leading comedy star on Malayalam small screen. The show is hosted by actor Mukesh.

Manoj hails from Ernakulam. Karimugal is his hometown. He is married and currently settled in his hometown. His education was completed from Ernakulam and Aluva. Since school days he got attached to mimicry and participated in cultural events during school and college days. His younger brother Ajith has also appeared in ‘Elayanila’ and ‘Minnale’ aired in Jeevan TV, and co-scripted the critically acclaimed film, Money Ratnam starring Fahadh Fasil.

He started his career as a mimicry artist in Cochin Century, and later joined the troupe, Cochin Guiness, through which he earned success. Since then Guiness tag got attached to his name. As a mimicry artist, he performed worldwide and gained success through several television shows too. He also writes the scripts of popular TV shows like Cinemala and Onathinidakk Poottukachavadom. He also owns his own troupe named ‘Navodaya’, and many popular comedy artists of big screen and small screen have performed with him in Navodaya.

In the comedy show, ‘Cinemala’ he is best known for imitating Kerala’s politician V S Acthuthanadan. He also appeared in a few movies such as Kavi Uddheshichathu..?, Oru Muthassi Gadha, My God etc. this talented artist owns more than 25 years of experience in mimicry field.
