Mallika Dua is an Indian actress and comic star known for her Dubsmash videos she posts in on Instagram and Snapchat. Most of her videos are instant hit and she is already a star in web world. She is the daughter of well-known journalist Vinod Dua. She worked a copywriter before being an actor full-time. Most recently she caught media attention and remained spotlight after a controversy broke out with Bollywood star Akshay Kumar, following his sexy remarks in a comic mood in a TV show. Vinod Dua backed his daughter while Twinkle Khanna supported her husband, adding more fumes to smoke.

Mallika is half-Derawali Punjabi and half-Tamil Brahmin. Mallika gives the credit of her success to her school teachers. She schooled from Modern School, Barakhamba Road, and used to imitate others since younger days. She entertained others and gave them joy through her jokes and funny skills since then. She worked as a copywriter in advertising field before she moved to entertainment world through her Dubsmash videos. She holds a theatre major from Franklin and Marshall College in the US.
