Lalit Behl Biography 
Lalit Behl is a famous theater personality known as an actor, director, producer and writer. He has been associated with theater, television as well as movies. He is married to noted theater personality, actress and writer, Navnindra Behl. Their son, Kanu Behl is also a film writer, lyricist and director, known for the scripts - Love, Sex Aur Dhokha and the short film, Three Blind Men. Lalit is a gold medalist from Department of Indian Theatre, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Lalit Behl was born on 15 August 1949. While at college, he won inter varsity contest. He formed a theatre group at Kapurthala, Punjab with a group of friends. Satish Sharma, Ravi Deep, Pramod Moutho and Harjeet Walia were the other theatre enthusiasts with whom he formed the theater group. 'Kya Number Badlega', 'Chhatrian', 'Nayak Katha', 'Hara Samander Gopichander', 'Kumarswami' and 'Suryast' are the stage plays he directed under this group. Later he joined as a diploma student at Department of Indian Theatre, Punjab University and passed out with a gold medal. After studies, he shifted to Delhi. He joined Shriram Center and National School of Drama Repertory Company as a stage actor.
Naye Khudaa, Godot Ki Aamad, Joseph K Ka Muqaddama, Death of a Salesman and Surya Ki Antim Kiran Se surya Ki Pehli Kiran Tak are his noted stage plays as a stage actor. He has also acted in many Hindi telefilms like Tapish, Chirion Ka Chamba, Sunehri Jild, Rani Kokilan, Happy Birthday and Aatish, apart from a few television serials. He has produced and directed for Doordarshan telefilms like Tapish, Happy Birthday, Aatish and Sunehri Jild and TV serials including Afsane, Ved Vyas Ke Pote, Mahasangram, Khanabadosh, Viji and Sada-e-Vadi.
