She also writes columns in dailies about dance and art.

Aditi Bhagwat hails from Maharashtra. She was born on 18 January 1981. Her mother, Ragini Bhagwat is a classical singer. Initially she was drawn towards classical music, inspired from her mother, and later drawn towards dance. She received Kathak training in the Jaipur style from Roshan Kumari and Nandita Puri. Later she trained in Odissi from Jhelum Paranjpe, who taught her nuisances of Abhinaya (expressions) and Adda (graceful posture), which helped her a lot in her journey forward. She also completed master's degree in dance from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya.

Over the years she succeeded in mixing traditional dance art and music with Jazz and other kinds of western music, thus creating fusion art forms. Now she is a renowned choreographer and a dedicated dance teacher too. She fused Electronic music with Kathak, and worked in collaboration with a few artists to give performances on various platforms. Her kathak dance style shows a "mastery of the idiom". In 2012 she received United States Department of State Fellowship under Cultural Exchange Program 'One Beat'.
