Kumaar Biography 
Kumaar is the pen name of the popular lyricist - Rakesh Kumar of Bollywood. He is known for writing several peppy numbers in the recent times and is quite popular. Many of his songs are chartbusters in the recent times. Baby Doll, Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan, Sooraj Dooba hain, Lovely, Desi Look, Nachan Farrate and Main Hoon hero tera are among his chartbuster hits. As a lyricist he debut with 2004 movie – Plan and has struggled a lot to achieve the success he deserved. He completed 10 years in the film industry though his name is popular only in the recent times. Known for his association with Meet Bros Anjjan and Kanika Kapoor, he delivered two smashing hits back to back - Baby Doll of Ragini MMS 2, Pink Lips for Hate Story 2 and Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan of Roy, cementing his position in the industry.
Though known for peppy numbers he has also penned beautiful tracks like Soniyo of Raaz 2, Tujhe Bhula Diya Anjana Anjani, Bahara Bahara of I hate love stories, apart from its fast Title track. A few more hit songs penned by Kumaar are - Dilliwali girlfriend from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Aa Zara of Murder, Auliya of Ungly, Title track of Boss, Changli Hai Changali Hai of Yamla Pagla Deewana 2, Khayalon Mein of Raaz 3, Dildara Ye Ratti Bhar Ka Jag Sara of Ra One, Chewing Gum Chaba Ke of Gori Tere Pyar Mein, Coffee Peetey Peetey of Gabbar Is Back, Daddy Mummy of Bhaag Johnny, Dastaan-E-Om Shanti Om and Jag Soona Soona Laage of Om Shanti Om and many more. Singh is Bling, Calendar Girls and Katti batti are his latest works.
He was born in Jalandhar and moved to Mumbai in 1996 to pursue a career in music. "Ishq Tera Tadpave" recorded by Sukhbir was his first noticed song. Associated with singles and probate albums, his first Bollywood song was for the movie – Plan in 2004. The song "Hota Hai Hota Hai” was noticed. Yet he struggled in Bollywood to get good offers and waited for long, till Anjana Anjani happened. Since then, he received offers with many leading music directors and now, he is one of the most successful lyricists of Hindi film industry.
