Kharesma Ravichandran Biography

Kharesma Ravichandran is a British playback singer of Indian origin. She is associated with singing and is active in the music industry since 2014. She is trained in western vocalist, and she marked her playback singing career in year 2014. Indian Tamil film “Yennai Arindhaal” marked her playback singing debut at the age of 14. Apart from film songs she is associated with independent music and has also rendered her voice for jingles. Till now she has sung more than a dozen of Tamil film songs, and owns a few hit songs to her credit. "Machan Inga Vandhira" from 2019 movie Kaappan is her most recent hit song. She has done jingles for Chicking, Alsa Mall, Impulse Perfume etc.

 

Kharesma Ravichandran was born and brought up in the UK and Sri Lanka, where she completed her schooling. This young singer was born in year 2000 in UK. Since childhood she got drawn towards music. She is currently doing Grade 8 in Vocal and Grade 5 in Piano for the Trinity College London - Music. In 2011 she moved to India, and started formal learning of Carnatic and Hindustani music. She started singing for jingles before she got the first break to playback singing through Tamil films in 2014.

 

Kharesma Ravichandran’s first song was "Yaen Ennai" composed by Harris Jayaraj. "Kadhal Cricketu" in the film “Thani Oruvan” composed by Hiphop Tamizha Aadhi and Jeeva was her first hit song. It was only her second recorded song. Later she recorded songs for movies such as Aramanai 2, Chennai 600028: Second Innings, Koditta Idangalai Nirappuga, Meesaya Murukku, Oru Mugathirai, Party, Jasmine, Zombie, Kaappan etc. She has received nominations at Filmfare awards, SIIMA and Edison Awards.
