Kavita Kaushik Biography

Kavita Kaushik is a popular actress of Indian television. Her most popular role is SAB TV sitcom F.I.R where she played the role of Chandramukhi Chautala. Most recently she has performed in an item song of the remake of blockbuster of Zanjeer (2013). She has also appeared in Bollywood movies like Phillum City, Mumbai cutting and Ek hasina thi. Shaktimaan – the popular serial of Doordarshan in 1998 marked her debut to Indian television, where she played the role of Teemira/Behroopia. Later she has appeared in numerous television serials and reality shows and is widely accepted that she is a talented and established actress of small screen.  

Kavita was born in a middleclass family of Delhi on 15 February 1981. During college days, she did modelling as well as event hosting programs. In 2001, she got an opportunity to work in Kutumb. She played the role of Monica Malhotra in this daily soap. She moved to Mumbai. Later she appeared in supporting roles in - Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Raat Hone Ko Hai, Tumhari Disha, Dil Kya Chahtha Hai, Remix, Ye Meri Life Hai, CID, Kesar, Ghar Ek Sapna and Kumkum – Ek Pyaara Sa Bandhan. She portrays main role in Tota Weds Maina and F.I.R., the sitcom that made her a popular actress of small screen. For the single comic role in F.I.R, she has accumulated numerous awards and nominations in comic role. She has won Boroplus Gold awards, Sab Ke Anokhe Awards, Indian telly awards and Indian Television Academy Awards for the same role.

In F.I.R, she plays the role of a police sub-inspector in the Iman Chowki. But her perfect timing and body language made the show one of the top entertaining programs up to date. The show was started in 2006 and now also very popular. She was seen as Sub-inspector Anushka in the popular detective series of Sony television, CID.
