Karthick Iyer Biography 
Karthick Iyer is a young musician and violinist from south India, best known for fusion music and collaboration with other artists. He is also a popular singer, song writer and composer, mostly associated with independent music and stage shows. Iyer has over 20 years of classical Carnatic experience, starting from the age of 8, and started playing in the Indian film industry, with AR Rahman, Imman, Devi Sri Prasad and other notable music directors. He has also composed music for one Bollywood film, apart from numerous jingles. His wife Jayashree Ramamoorthy is a classical dancer, and they had an arranged marriage.
Classical and contemporary violinist Karthick started training in music since the age of 8, and still continuing the learning process for more than 20 years. He played his first concert in 1998 at the age of 13. He owns a musical band, IndoSoul, which has performed across the globe, and also released a few independent albums such as Two Sides of Karma most recently in 2018. The album included 7 songs. One of the popular tracks from the album is Kuyilayi Povale, and it’s the first love song ever composed by the musician. The music video featured his wife Jayashree, who danced for it.
Electric violin, a mridangam, an acoustic guitar, bass and drums along with vocals – they together for the band, Indosoul, which rocks on stage. Karthick has spent a few years performing across the world. He has collaborated with renowned artists such as The Raghu Dixit Project, Susheela Raman and Indo-acoustic band – Emergence, and has performed on a wide stage in Glastonbury (UK), Kennedy Centre for Performing Arts (US), WOMAD (Spain) etc. He was also featured in MTV Coke Studio. The young composer enjoys giving a new-age twist to classical melodies.
