Kandikonda Biography 
Kandikonda is a Telugu film lyricist, with many popular songs to his credit. He joined Telugu film industry in year 2001, and his career is nearing to two decades. During his initial days in Tollywood, he frequently worked with music composer Chakri, and later he wrote lyrics to the tunes of A. R. Rahman, Sandeep Chowta, Mani Sharma, Yuvan Shankar Raja, Ramana Gogula, Ajay – Atul, Harris Jayaraj, D. Imman and a few others. Initially he worked for many private and spiritual albums composed by Chakri.
Dr. Kandikonda’s full name is Kandikonda Yadagiri. He was born on 13 October 1973 in Nagurlapally, Narsampet, Warangal, Telangana. He attended higher studies at the Osmania University in Hyderabad from where he earned Master’s in Political Science and Telugu Literature. He also received Doctorate for his thesis on ‘Situational songs in Telugu cinema’ from Osmania University. As a lyricist, he penned songs for Needi Naadi Oke Katha, Temper, Lingaa, Sukumarudu, Thupakki, Poola Rangadu, Babloo, Lakshmi Putrudu, Maska, Aadavari Matalaku Arthale Verule etc.
Initially he worked for many private and spiritual albums composed by Chakri, well-known music composer of Telugu film industry. Later Chakri gave him the first break to films through Itlu Sravani Subramanyam in 2001. Chakri had just got his break to movies, and Itlu Sravani Subramanyam was his second release. From there on, the duo formed an amazing pair and they worked together in many movies. Hello Premisthara was their last work together. He wrote the songs - Ninna Monna, Yennadu Leni, Nee Peru Vintene, Life Ante Travel, Pokiri and Dum Dum Dum for the movie. The movie was released in 2014, a few months before Chakri’s death.
