Kalyani Bondre Biography 
Dr. Kalyani Bondre is an Indian classical vocalist who practises Hindustani vocals and Marathi Natyasangeet, and she is also an academician. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Pune and is a member of management department from Jaipur. She is based in Pune. Apart from Hindustani vocals, she also performs in Bhaavgeet, ghazals, devotional music like bhajans and abhangas, and also fusion music. She is trained in Kirana Gharana, Gwalior Gharana and Mewati Gharana under different gurus of high regard.
Kalyani Bondre hails from Pune, Maharashtra. She was born in 1981. She belongs to a musical family, and both her parents are singers who gave her the early lessons of Hindustani music. During her childhood days she was interested more in dance than music, and even taken classes in Kathak. However later she concentrated on to music, and learnt Hindustani music under the guidance of different gurus belonging to different gharanas. She also completed her studies in economics and works as a faculty in Jaipur. She received the N. K. Firodia Memorial Award for excellence in Hindustani Classical Music in 2001 and also Rashtriya Gaurav Puraskar in 2009-2010.
Kalyani has solo albums of classical and semi-classical music to her credit. She also has the honour of being featured in a compilation album 'Ten Artists Ten Ragas'. She is a recognised artiste of the All India Radio. In 2010, her recital was broadcasted worldwide on Wolverhampton City Radio, U. K. she has been honoured by the Pune Municipal Corporation for her contributions towards Hindustani music. She has done a solo concert at the Tagore Centre of the Embassy of India, Berlin, Germany on the eve of Independence day celebrations week. She has nearly two decades of experience in the field of music.
