Juhi Parmar Biography

Juhi Parmar is a well known television personality. She is the winner of Big Boss – Season 5, the prestigious and popular show of Colors TV. She is also the winner of Comedy Circus 2 and the finalist of Say Shava Shava, Hans baliye and Saas v/s Bahu. She is known as anchor, actress, television presenter, singer and dancer. She is married to Sachin Shroff, well known television personality. She is widely regarded as one of the finest artists of Indian television. She has also acted in a few Pakistani soap operas.

Juhi was born on 14 December 1980 in Rajasthan. In 1999, Parmar won The Miss Rajasthan title and it gave her direct entry to Indian television. In 2001, she debut small screen with Shaheen on Sony TV. Then she appeared in a few more television serials like Choodiyan, Woh, Jee sahib, Devi, Virasat and Yeh jeevan hai. In 2002, she got the lead role of popular soap opera of Star Plus – Kumkum. This single serial made her a household name and it was successfully shown on television till 2009. Her character name was Kumkum Sumit Wadhwa(Chanda). She also appeared as guest in special episodes of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kkusum and Rishtey during this time.

In 2005, she won Best Actress (Critics) at the Indian Telly Awards for her most memorable role of Star Plus's Indian soap opera Kumkum - Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan. She was also nominated and won Favorite Bahu, Favorite Patni and Favorite Bhabhi for the same role at different television award functions. Through the reality shows of dance competitions and comedy shows, she has proved her versatility of a good performing artist, apart from being a talented actor. For the program, Hans baliye, she appeared along with her husband Sachin Shroff.
