Jayati Bhatia Biography

Jayati Bhatia is a popular television actress known for supporting roles. She has played pivot roles in many popular TV soaps like Itihaas, Kanyadaan, Sasural Simraan Ka, Kutumb, Tu Tu Main Main, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii and Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi etc. Jayati Bhatia is one of the earliest well-established actresses of TV soaps who gained prominence in the early 2000s. Jayati Bhatia is playing roles far exceeding her age, and her popular role in Sasural Simraan Ka is the best instance. She plays the senior most member of ‘Simraan’ family.

She is also a well-established theater artist and has appeared in a couple of film roles.  Mad about Money, Vagina Monologue, Acid, Going Solo Part 1, Mahatma Vs Gandhi, Khatijabai of Karmali Terrace, Blame it on Yashraj etc are her popular stage shows. She has done more than 150 stage shows till now. A participant of several reality show contests, she was the winner of Kitchen Champion of Season 4.

Jayati Bhatia was born in the year 1970. She got training in Theater from Delhi and became a part of several stage shows. As a stage actress, her most memorable role is Mad about Money. She made her television debut with Ekta Kapoor's daily soaps in the mid-1990s, a period when television soaps had just started to boom. Made her television debut in 1996, she has been associated with Balaji telefilms by a couple of decades by now.

Dr. Shweta in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii was one of her earliest roles, followed by Jassi’s friend in Jassi jaisi Koi nahi. She has been a part of three sitcoms of Sachin including the most popular – Tu Tu Mein Mein. Titli mami in Sinndoor tere naam ka and as Mishti in Mamta are other noted appearances. Her voice was also used in the narration of Bollywood hit – Barfi.
