Jayanthi Kumaresh Biography 
Jayanthi Kumaresh is a musician and currently one of the leading artists of Saraswati Veena. She is one of the youngest veena artistes to receive the A- grading from All India Radio. Noted Veena player Padmavathy Ananthagopalan is her aunt, Jayanthi has taken musical lessons from her. She started playing the Saraswati Veena at the age of 3, and she belongs to a musical family with more than 6 generations of tradition in Carnatic music. She is the niece of well-known musician, Lalgudi Jayaraman. She composed and released one album, "Mysterious Duality".
Jayanthi Kumaresh hails from a musical family of Tamil Nadu. Started playing the Saraswati Veena at the age of 3, her mother Lalgudi Rajalakshmi was her first guru. She continued learning from maternal aunt, Padmavathy Ananthagopalan, where she stayed with her following Gurukula traditions. The legendary violinist Lalgudi Jayaraman is her uncle. Jayathi’s husband Kumaresh Rajagopalan is the younger of the famous Ganesh Kumaresh violinist duo. Jayanthi Kumaresh has performed in several musical concerts and cultural festivals across the country, and currently one of the most popular artists playing Saraswati Veena.
Sawai Gandharv Mahotsav, Gana Saraswati Samaroh, Gwalior Music Festival etc are some of the prestigious music festivals where she has performed before, apart from many international concerts in New York, San Francisco etc. She has performed in San Francisco Jazz Festival, Darbar festival, Queensland Music Festival etc, and has earned fame and popularity of international reputation. She completed her doctorate in music and she researched on “styles and playing techniques of the Saraswati veena”. She also regularly conducts workshops and lecture demonstrations in different parts of the world.
