Jaspreet Jazim Sharma Biography
Jaspreet ‘Jazim’ Sharma is an Indian singer who sings ghazals. He also does playback singing for Bollywood and other language films. His most recent Bollywood song is a duet with Harshdeep Kaur for Abhishek starrer Manmarziyaan (2018). He sang the very popular and beautiful romantic track "Grey Walaa Shade" for the movie which was an instant hit. He is a gold-medallist at the national level in Thumri and Ghazal. He was one among the top 15 finalists of one of the most popular music reality shows, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa in 2012. He holds a Masters in Music degree from Mumbai University.
The Punjabi boy Jaspreet Sharma is also credited as Jazim Sharma. Sharma was born on 14 September 1990 in Bathinda, Punjab. Sonu Nigam is his idol in playback singing, and Ghulam Ali Khan in ghazals singing. Sharma is specialized in Thumri and Ghazal, and has won numerous prizes and honours exhibiting his talents. Apart from playback singing he works as a teacher and trainer in music for various music competitions and youth festivals. He completed his graduation from his hometown, after which he moved to Mumbai to do his MA in music. By that time he started dreaming about a career in music.
His multi-genre talent and ability to shift scales are his biggest strengths. He owns a music studio at home and also trains students for various competitions. He wishes to open his studio in Mumbai too. He is a musician who plays musical instruments such as harmonium, the tabla, and the synthesizer, and he is interested in music composition too. Currently he is active with his live stage performances and ghazals concerts also.
