Ila Arun Biography 
Ila Arun is famous for her distinct voice and Rajasthani folk songs. Her voice is not sweet and cute that suit heroines of celluloid. Yet her pop songs and item numbers are everyone’s favourite. Either Morni Baaga ma of Lamhe or Choli ke peeche of Khalnayak, she has showered a folk touch to numerous songs that she has rendered her voice. Her husky voice has a lot of followers all over the world.
She belongs to Jaipur of Rajasthan. That’s the reason why her voice replicates the folk songs of Rajasthan soil a lot. She completed her graduation from Maharani Girls School of Jaipur.
In addition to her singing songs and acting in a few films, she has anchored a few TV programs as well. Fame Gurukul was one such Reality singing show. She appeared as the judge of the show Junoon in ND TV Imagine. Among her pop albums, Nigudi kaise jawani hai was quite popular during 1995. Her other popular albums include Ila Arun Pop hits, Chappam Churi and Vote for Ghagra. Vote for Ghagra was a smashing hit. Her promotional song for IPL Rajasthan Royals, Halla Bol was also a hit.
She has acted in a few movies too. In Jodha Akbar, she acted as Hritik’s step mother; a negative role who always tries to spill the relationship between Jodha and Akbar. She has also acted in successful movies like Well done Abba, Welcome to Sajjanpur, Artha Satya and Ghatak. She has acted in Bharat ki Ghoj of Doordarshan during middle 80’s.
Her top hit movie songs include Choli ke peeche of Khalnayak, Morni of Lamhe, Ringa Ringa of Oscar winning movie Slum dog millionaire and item song of A.R.Rehman composition Muthu Mazhai for Prabudeva - Shilpa Shetty movie Romeo. She has always engaged herself in one activity or another and has a huge fan club following her. She entered into the industry at a time when sweet voice was given preference. She proved that, not only simple and sweet voice, but also unique and husky voice can find its own path in musical industry.
