Hesham Abdul Wahab Biography 
Hesham Abdul Wahab is an upcoming playback singer associated with Malayalam cinema. He has delivered numerous chartbusters like the romantic tracks "Mounam Chorum Neram" and "Sneham Cherum Neram" of Ohm Shanthi Oshaana. His songs are included in the recent album of British singer/songwriter Sami Yusuf. The album is released under the name Qadam Badha (Step Forward), which integrates the haunting sounds of Middle Eastern Arabian sounds with traditional South Asian instruments. It is his first musical album.
Hesham Abdul Wahab was born in Kerala into a family with music background, but raised in Riyadh. His parents are still there. His grandfather was a qawwali singer who used to sing in palaces and courts in Kerala in the 1930s. It was during his third grade when his teacher heard him singing and encouraged him. He came to Kerala in 2007 to participate in Asianet’s singing talent hunt show - Idea Star Singer. He was a finalist of the show. He also took part in Ranjini Jose's team for a reality show, Sangeetha Maha Yudham which stood as winner.
Long before his entry to the show, he has already started singing. He began singing at private functions in Riyadh and focused on composing music and learning piano while at grade 7. However it was the reality show on Asianet which gained him popularity in Kerala. Hesham has taken formal training in Arabian music apart from Hindustani and Carnatic music. With a handful of Malayalam songs as a singer, he is to debut as a music director. On one of the episodes of Sangeetha Maha Yudham, he sang a devotional song of Sami Yusuf and also shared its video on the musician's official page. Later he got a mail from his label with the offer for a record deal!
