Harshit Saxena Biography 
Harshit Saxena is a popular music director and playback singer associated with Bollywood. He shot to fame after participating in ‘Amul Voice of India’ singing talent hunt show aired on Star Plus in 2007. He reached the finals of the show, however finished as runner up of the show. The contest was won by Ishmeet Singh Sodhi from Ludhiana. A huge fan of Kishore Kumar, his singing style closely resembles this legend. After a few unnoticed songs as a playback singer Harshit later turned a music composer through the movie Murder 2. He composed the chartbuster “Haal-e-dil” and did the playback singing as well.
Harshit Saxena belongs to Lucknow, UP. He lives with his parents, grandfather and younger brother Shobhit. Both his mother and brother are singers and young Harshit learnt first lessons of music from his mother. Her mother taught him old Hindi songs and classical numbers. Whie studying in class 9, he participated in Lucknow Mahotsav, a state level singing competition and won. Then he won four years in a row adding confidence to his performance. He began to dream about a career in music after that.
He was supposed to appear for his physiotherapy semester exams while audition of ‘Voice of India’ was going on. Though he decided not to attend, his father encouraged him to go ahead with the audition. He been training for three years with Ustad Gulshan Bharti and follows Kishore Kumar’s music closely. He is also a huge follower of Sonu Nigam. He practised a lot, gained enough confidence to win the auditions. He impressed judges with songs of Kishore Da and Kumar Sanu like Tum Mile, Dil Kheele. He performed before legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar in the final round, though finished as runner-up. But he got enough exposure with this show.
He sang "Happy Ending" song for Tees Maar khan, and the opportunity was given by Farah Khan. But it was Murder-2 the following year which gave him the big break. "Mahee Jaan" and "Dil Kaanch Sa of Hate Story-2 were also hits. He has also composed songs for Hate Story 2 and Super Nani.
