Harsh Vashisht Biography

Harsh Vashisht is an Indian film and television actor, who predominantly works in Hindi entertainment industry. He has played only less number of roles on big screen. Yet he is immensely popular with his small screen roles. Since 2002, he has appeared in more than 15 TV roles. Sadda Haq as Mr. Harshvardhan Shekhawat on Channel V and Amrit Singh in Doli Armano Ki are among his popular roles. His father is the veteran actor Bhramachari. His brother Puneet Vashisht is an actor and Bigg Boss Show contestant. His wife Ritu Vasishta is also a television actress.

Harsh Vashisht was born on 24 July as the son of actor Bhramachari, known for character roles. He was first seen as a child artist in 1993 Bollywood film, Veerta, where he played younger Mangal singh, and disappeared from screen. Since 2002 he got active in Hindi entertainment industry playing supporting roles both on big screen and small screen. Sur - The Melody of Life in 2002 is his debut flick where he portrayed the role of Aquib. Same year he appeared on mini screen through the popular show on Star Plus, Kumkum. He played the role of Rahul Wadhwa in the series.

As a film actor, he appeared in the movies - Sur - The Melody of Life, Jism, Baghban, Love Story 2050, Sirf Main Aur Tum etc. He was seen in more than a dozen of TV roles. Some of them include – Prem ya paheli – Chandrakanta, Doli Armano Ki, Mere Rang Mein Rangne Waali, Oye Jassie, Jhilmil Sitaaron Ka Aangan Hoga, Banoo Main Teri Dulhann etc. Currently he plays the role of Maharaj Jai Singh, Chandrakanta’s father in Prem ya paheli – Chandrakanta since 2017. He married his co-star of Banoo Main Teri Dulhann, Ritu Vasishta.
