Gurdeep Kohli Biography

Gurdeep Kohli is a very successful small screen actress. She played the role of Dr. Juhi Singh in Star TV's Sanjivani and Vedika on Zee TV's Sindoor Tere Naam Ka which made her a popular actress. In 2006, she married her co-star from Sanjivani, Arjun Punj and the couple has one daughter. She made her Bollywood debut through Rowdy Rathod in which she appeared in the role of Inspector Razia Khan, a noted supporting role of the movie. Currently she plays the role of Hemani Singh in ‘Best Of Luck Nikki’. She also does cameo appearances in many popular television serials right now.

She was born in a Sikh family of Punjabi descend. She started her career as a model and has modeled for many leading brands like Ponds, ICICI, Baazee.com, Cadbury's, Ariel and Nestle. Then she appeared in popular music video, Kya Mujhse Dosti Karoge of Pankaj Udhas. She got quick attention through this video and very soon, she got her big break to small screen. She was offered the title role of Dr Juhi Singh in Sanjivani- A Medical Boon which was a major success. She was paired opposite Arjun Punj, whom she married later. She got opportunity to work with stalwarts of acting like Rajiv Varma, Smita Jaykar and Vikram Gokhale, through many television serials.

Her popular roles include Kasam se as Bani, Sinndoor Tere Naam Ka  as Vedika Raizada, Sanjivani as Dr. Juhi Singh, Arjun as Meenakshi and Best of Luck Nikki as Hemani Singh. Since childhood, she was interested in imitating film actors at home. But she didn’t take any formal learning in acting.
