Gopi Sunder Biography 
Gopi Sunder is a musician, playback singer and music director, who mainly concentrates on South Indian cinema. As a playback singer, Titli song of Chennai Express was a chartbuster of the year 2013. He sang that song aside Shreya Ghosal. He composed music and background score for Malayalam movies - Flash (2007), Sagar Alias Jacky Reloaded (2009), Anwar (2010), Casanova (2012), 10:30 am Local Call (2012), Ustad Hotel (2012), ABCD (2013) and Sound Thoma (2013). Notebook (2006), Big B (2007), Mission 90 Days (2007), Poi Solla Porom (2008) and Evidam Swargamanu (2009) are his noted works as a background scorer. For the Malayalam movie, Anwar (2010), he received Filmfare best music director award for the first time.
Gopi Sunder was born into a musical family in Kochi. He worked as assistant director of composer Ouseppachan for a long time. Sunder's father was a friend of Ouseppachan, which later helped in his entry to film field. He has also done keyboard programming for a few Bollywood hit songs like "Aankhon mein teri'" (Om Shanti Om) and "Ek Main Aur Ek Tu Hai" (Bluffmaster). Same year he got the big break to Malayalam film industry when he was offered background score by director Rosshan Andrrews for his debut movie, Notebook (2007). It was followed by the super hit movie Big B, starring Mammootty, most noted for its background score and camera work.
In the year 2007, he debut as music director for Mohanlal starrer Flash, followed by both music and background score of another Mohanlal movie - Sagar Alias Jacky Reloaded. ‘Vennilave’ was a chartbuster song. Amal Neerad's Anwar placed him among the music directors of new generation and was one of the top albums of the year 2010. Now his name is ranked among the top background scorers and music directors of Malayalam film industry. Occasionally he renders his voice as a playback singer as well.
