Franco Simon Biography 
Franco Simon, best known as Franco is a singer and music composer from Kerala, best known for independent music. His singles - Chempakame and Sundariye vaa in the early 2000s shot him to instant fame during his early phase of his career, and later he got opportunity to work in Malayalam, Telugu and Tamil films. He has released a few hit music albums and singles. Apart from south Indian languages, he has also sung in Hindi, English and Sanskrit. He is mostly related to fast peppy numbers. Ullahi Ullahi in Lesa Lesa and Rakshasi of Nammal gave him initial success in Tamil and Malayalam film industries respectively.
Rakshasi of Nammal, Dhumthanakkidi Dhumma of Mullavalliyum Thenmavum, Pineapple Penne of Vellinakshathram, Kanaponnum thedi of Chanthupottu, Panchara chiri kondu of Merikkundoru Kunjadu, Vasoottan of Jamna Pyari etc are some of his popular songs in Malayalam. Some of his best Tamil films include - Ullahi Ullahi of Lesa Lesa, Do Do doda of Ullam Ketkumae, Neruppe of Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu, Theye Theeye of Maattrraan, Title song of Thakadimi tha, Title song of Thavam etc. He has also served as the lead singer of musical bands - Band Seven, Road House and Q8 Band. Yeh Zindagani is his popular Hindi album song.
His full name is Franco Simon Neelankavil. He was born into a Christian family in Thrissur, Kerala in 1974. He has three younger siblings. Since young he was inclined towards music, and made his first stage performance at the tender age of only 4. After that he has own numerous singing competitions. To pursue a career in music he studied B.A. in music from Madras University. He received his first break to cine world as a playback singer through 2002 Malayalam film Nammal, where he sang the peppy number – En Karalil Thaamasichal. The song became a huge hit across the campuses of Kerala then, and later his name got associated with several foot tapping numbers, rather than melody and slow paced songs.
