Farnaz Shetty Biography

Farnaz Shetty is a popular actress associated with Hindi mini screen, best known for essaying supporting and character roles. As a television actress, she is best known for playing Gunjan in Ek Veer Ki Ardaas...Veera and Kanchan in Balika Vadhu, for which she is known for. Vrushali in Suryaputra Karn, Manpreet Pawania in Waaris and Siddhi Joshi in Siddhi Vinayak are other famous roles. She currently plays the female role of the show, Siddhi Vinayak, where she plays Siddhi. She replaced Neha Saxena for this very popular show on small screen. She shares screen space with Nitin Goswami, who plays Vinayak in the show.

During her junior college days, she started getting calls for auditions. But her priority was to complete graduation first. Her mother wanted her to pursue a career either in aviation or in acting. She picked up acting. She did theater with Rangmanch group for one year before she began her television journey. One day she was having coffee in a coffee shop when a casting director approached her for Dil Ki Nazar Se Khoobsurat. Thus Farnaz Shetty marked her television debut in 2013. She made her debut with Sony TV's show Dil Ki Nazar Se Khoobsurat.

After playing noted roles in shows like Khubsoorat and Balika Badhu, she was seen as the beautiful Gunjan in Veera. Her role as Gunjan was well appreciated. She bagged an important cameo in Colors’ Balika Vadhu. She played a divorcee with some mysterious shades. Her character Kanchan had some grey shades too. In 2016 she was selected to host the dance reality show Shine of India on Channel V.
