Falaq Naaz Biography

Falaq Naaz is a very popular television actress associated with Hindi television. She played the supporting role of Jhanvi Bhardwaj in Colors' popular daily soap, Sasural Simar Ka for which she is known most. Her younger sister Shafaq Naaz is also a popular television actress. Currently she plays the role of a teacher in the popular series, Roop - Mard Ka Naya Swaroop aired on Colors TV. She mostly plays supporting roles on mini screen.

 

Earlier she was seen in the soaps - Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev in the role of Sita, two episodes of Savdhaan India, Gunahon Ka Devta playing the role of Shikha, as Tara in Dekha Ek Khwaab, as Empress Ruqaiya Sultan Begum in Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap, Saraswati in Mahakali- Anth hi Aarambh hai, Dr. Twinkle Malhotra in Shankar Jaikishan 3 in 1, Rubia in Adaalat and a few more episodic shows in cameo roles. Among all the roles, Sasural Simar Ka played a magnificent role in establishing her as an actress.

 

Falaq Naaz hails from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. Her father died when she was young, and her mother had to look after her and three younger siblings. Her childhood was spent in Dehradun, Meerut and Delhi, where she completed her education. As Falaq and her younger sister Shafaq Naaz were fascinated towards dancing, their mother enrolled both sisters in the Indian Film and Television Institute, Meerut. Falaq also got opportunity to train under Saroj Khan, a prominent choreographer of Bollywood film industry.

 

Later Saroj Khan encouraged Falaq along with her family to move to Mumbai to pursue a career in entertainment industry, which she did. She shifted to Mumbai in February 2010 and started auditioning for television shows. She got many supporting roles in television, which helped her to establish as an actress.
