Donal Bisht is a popular actress associated with Hindi television industry. She is also a successful model. She is best known for portraying the lead role of Sharanya in soap opera Ek Deewaana Tha, aired on Sony TV. The show started in 2017 is still on air. She worked as a journalist for the news channel, and also anchored "Chitrahar" for DD National, prior to her entry as a television actress. She played the parallel lead role of Sakshi in Kalash - Ek Vishwaas. Twist Wala Love, Saathiya and Airlines are other television roles.

Donal hails from Chamoli, Uttarakhand. She was born in the year 1994. Her nick name is Donu. Jasumati Bisht is her mother’s name. She started modelling during her graduation at college, and also had brief stint as TV anchor and journalist before she forayed into acting.  After playing a few supporting roles, she bagged her first lead role through Ek Deewaana Tha in 2017. The show remained successful and earned her immense popularity and fame. She marked her acting debut in 2015 show, Airlines, and has appeared as a journalist. She played parallel lead in Kalash - Ek Vishwaas, followed by her first lead role in Ek Deewaana Tha. Namik Paul and Vikram Singh Chauhan play the male lead opposite her in this show.

During the auditions, she met both these stars and felt extremely comfortable in their presence. That’s why she accepted the lead role instantly. She is seen romancing with both these actors for the show, and USP of the show is that a ghost is a part of this love triangle. Though she don’t believe in spirits, she is scared of dark, the actress asserts.
