Devoleena Bhattacharjee Biography 
Devoleena Bhattacharjee is a popular television actress, best known for her pivot role as Gopi in Saath Nibhaana Saathiya. She was paired with Mohammad Nazim for the show. She was earlier seen in Sawaare Sabke Sapne Preeto, where she played the role of Gurbaani Dhilon aka Baani opposite Aditya Redij, the show aired on NDTV Imagine during 2011–2012. Her memorable role as Gop earned her Indian Television Academy Awards for Best Actress-Drama (Popular) in 2013, STAR Parivaar Awards 2014 for Favourite Bahu and STAR Parivaar Awards 2015 for Favourite Patni. Currently she plays the female protagonist of the show.
Devoleena is born to a Bengali household and brought up at Sivasagaar, Assam. Devoleena was born on 22nd August 1990 to a Bengali father and Assamese mother. Her father passed away when she was only 7 years old. She has one younger brother. She completed schooling from GBME School, Sivasagar and later completed graduation in commerce. She did a Jewellery Designing course from NIFT and also learnt music and Bharatnatyam a little bit. After studies she worked in GILI, MIDC Mumbai.
She got her first earning from a stage show. She started her TV journey with the series - Sawaare Sabke Sapne Preeto with NDTV Imagine as Bani, younger sister of Preeto - a supporting character. In 2012, she joined the team of successful Saath Nibhaana Saathiya when Giaa Manek quit the show for a reality contest. She substituted Giaa for the show and gained attention and popularity in a short time. She was paired with Mohammad Nazim. In 2013, she contested Dance India Dance, aired on Zee TV.
