Daboo Malik Biography 
Daboo Malik is a music director, singer, screenwriter and actor of Bollywood. He has been a television host of Doordarshan in the late 1990’s. His full name is Daboo Sardar Malik. He is the son of Sardar Malik, one of the earliest music directors of Bollywood. But he is better known as the younger brother of well-established music director of Bollywood, Anu Malik. He has one more brother - Abu Malik. He is the nephew of one of the greatest lyricist of Bollywood - Hasrat Jaipuri. His son Armaan Malik is a singer and voice actor of Bollywood. His niece Anmol Malik has also entered the world of Bollywood music. After spending more than a decade in Bollywood music, he has entered screenwriting field. He has turned scriptwriter for the upcoming musical thriller W, directed by Tarun Madan Chopra.
He was born as Israr Sardaar Malik on January 21, 1963 in Mumbai, Maharashtra as the son of famous music director, Sardar Malik. Born and brought up in a music family, that was filled with musicians, composers and lyricists, Israar too entered music world. For his handsome looks, he was interested in acting at first, though turned to music later after knowing his real path. He appeared in Bollywood movies like Beta ho toh aisa, Tirangaa, and Baazigar, just to achieve stardom. He tried acting, singing and TV hosting and even assisted Anu Malik for a few movies.
He hosted Doordarshan show – Tea Time Manoranjan in the late 1990’s. It was dialogue-script writer Salim Khan who identified the music talent of Daboo. Thus with early 2000’s, he entered music direction field similar to his elder brother. He composed all songs for Yeh Zindagi ka Safar in 2001, followed by a few songs for Hum tumhare hai sanam and Tumko Na Bhool. As a full-fledged music director, his movies include Kissan, I Proud to Be an Indian and Maine dil tujhko diya.
