Bindhu Malini Biography 
Bindhu Malini is a musician and music composer associated with Tamil cinema. She is best known for her celebration with the musician Vedanth Bharadwaj, with whom she has composed a couple of film albums and private works. The duo composed the songs of highly acclaimed Aruvi in 2017, and the work was instantly noticed. Bindhu rendered her voice for all the 6 tracks of the album too. These two city-based musicians create Carnatic and Hindustani music through the chords of a guitar, drawing influences from a range of artistes –from Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton and Pink Floyd to RD Burman, Pandit Bhimsen Joshi and MS Subbulakshmi, through their fusions.
Bindhu Malini was born in 1981. She belongs to a family with classical music background. Her grandmother, the late Kalaimani Seetha Doraiswamy was one of the few rare artistes who played the Jalatharangam and her mother, Visalakshi is a Carnatic musician. Bindhu met Vedanth Bharadwaj in NID, Ahmedabad. Both were great fans of each other’s music. Very soon they became friends, and their comfortable friendship paved way for their collaborations in music and they succeeded too.
The duo Bindhumalini and Vedanth Bharadwaj have created a niche in the world of Kabir compositions with their album - Suno Bhai, Songs of Kabir in 2013. They read translations of Kabir’s couplets and listened to renditions of his songs by Kumar Gandharva before composing Suno Bhai. They used guitar as one of the main instruments while composing the album. They collaborated for the first time for movies with Aruvi in 2017. The songs played a major role along with powerful script and it included tracks like Kukkotti Kunaatti, Merku Karaiyil, Uchcham Thodum Anbin Kodi, Cement Kaadu, Asaindhadum Mayil etc. Majority of its compositions were sung by the duo composers too. Bindhu rendered her voice for all the 6 tracks of the album - Cement Kaadu, Asaindhadum Mayil, Merku Karaiyil and Uchcham Thodum Anbin Kodi etc.
